This epic adventure follows process server Dale Denton (Seth Rogen) and his dealer Saul Silver (James Franco) as they flee from hitmen and corrupt cops after witnessing a murder. This movie is a non-stop thrill ride that captures the paranoia, munchies, and crazy situations that can arise from a really good high.

2. "The Big Lebowski" (1998)

The Coen Brothers' cult classic isn't just a stoner movie; it's a way of life. Jeff Bridges stars as "The Dude," a laid-back bowler caught up in a case of mistaken identity, kidnapping, and nihilists. Every scene is quotable, from "The Dude abides" to "This aggression will not stand, man." 3. "Up in Smoke" (1978)

Cheech and Chong's first feature film is the granddaddy of all stoner comedies. This road trip movie follows our heroes as they unwittingly smuggle a van made entirely of marijuana from Mexico to LA. From Chong's opening scene of hotboxing his car to Cheech's iconic "Dave's not here" bit, this movie set the template for every stoner comedy that followed. The ensemble cast, including early performances from Matthew McConaughey, Ben Affleck, and Parker Posey, is pitch-perfect.
